Phang Nga Bay near Phuket is a karst seascape inside Ao Phang Nga National Park, with emerald lagoons, sea caves, canoe trips, Koh Panyee and James Bond Island.
Phang Nga Bay is one of the Andaman’s most cinematic landscapes: limestone towers rising straight out of the water, mangrove fringes, and calm channels that feel almost unreal on a bright day. The classic way to experience it is by boat, then by sea canoe, slipping through low cave entrances into hidden “hong” lagoons surrounded by jungle and rock walls. Many routes also pass the famous James Bond Island area (Khao Phing Kan and nearby Ko Ta Pu) and stop at Koh Panyee, the stilt-built village where daily life continues right over the sea. It is less about one beach, more about pure scenery and atmosphere.
